The Captain & Lucky Dog II Information

THE CAPTAIN

Captain Brandon

Welcome to Lucky Dog Sportfishing Charters LLC my name is Brandon Jacobson, I am a full-time US Coast Guard licensed Captain. I have been fishing these waters for Lake Michigan from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois. for the past 25 years.

I cut my teeth in this business working many years on a number of charter vessels as the First Mate where I learned to work hard and do everything possible to make the experience enjoyable and productive for our clients. After obtaining my Captains licensed, I purchased the Lucky Dog (boat) and business from a retiring Captain and continue to work hard building my dream business.

Fishing is much more than just a business to me. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping others experience the thrill of landing the huge fish available here on Lake Michigan! When you fish with me you can be assured I will give you 110% effort EVERY TIME no matter if it’s your first trip or you have been a customer of mine for many years. I will not rest until we try everything to fill the coolers full.

I enjoy teaching others how to fish even if they have very little experience. If you would like to net the fish, select the bait, or even learn how to set the rods, just ask and I’ll be happy to walk you through the process of being an effective fisherman; after all, this is “your charter”.

Why should I go on a salmon charter?

Lake Michigan is one of the greatest fisheries in the country, period! You don’t have to know how to fish to have a great time. Just pack some food and drinks and leave the rest to us.

This will be a new experience for the wife, kids, and I. What can we expect?

First, you’ll step on to one of the cleanest, largest boats in the harbor. Second, the fishing tackle and electronics are all “Top of the line”. Next, I’ll set all rods and explain everything that’s going on. Finally, I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Remember, when a fish hits, grab the rod and hang on!
